I have seen this comment by others before & I don't understand it. If you download a 1 MB item it is still 1MB regardless of the speed? So if the speed is doubled then the download will still be 1MB but in half the time. PJ |

So if the speed is doubled then the download will still be 1MB but in half the time. PJ If the speed goes up and the cap stays the same, it's easier to download more (often without realising) because the bottleneck (slow speed) has disappeared... The interwebs become easier to use, so you spend more time on them. Time equals data consumption equals exceeding caps earlier than you normally would have... Sure, if you only do 6 things a day and can get away with a 5GB monthly cap, then increasing the speed will have no effect on you - other than being able to do those 6 things a day more quickly... |

I'm on the 60 + 20 plan at the moment, dropping back to the 60 and having it double to 120 seems like a great Idea :) Quickflix has had 0 impact on my cap so far, but if it improves before I give up on it that may change. | dugimodo (138) | ||
