Giving your vote to anyone but National is a vote for Labour. Yes, one or two of the minor parties may win a seat or two but Labour will still have more seats than anyone else after National, so Labour will still be the only effective opposition. You're just kidding yourself if you vote for anyone else except National or Labour. |

| 1244738 | 2011-11-22 01:25:00 | I’d completely overlooked United Future so have had a wee look at their website but they seem to have completely avoided all the hard questions like Separatism, Asset Sales and the Foreshore True. Also on Firstline yesterday they said Dunne has changed his allegiance 4x in the past EDIT: Dont forget capital gains as this is a large issue also |

Do you think their basic thinking has changed just because they have joined the Greens. I think it is completely irrelevant whether or not Green party members have been members of, or linked to, a communist party some time in the distant past. So what? What is it about their "basic thinking" that bothers you? Come on, vote Green, it is the way of the future. |

Good point there  The way I see it, B.M. raises some good points in the first post, and I'm prepared to give Goff a chance, so I'll be voting Labour (but I'm also happy to vote Greens). (If I mention the CBD rail link again I'll get shut down by the motorway freaks ) |

You're just kidding yourself if you vote for anyone else except National or Labour. Well Roscoe, you have been sucked in by the Spin of the Major Partys, so I suggest you look at a scenario like the following. The Greens, The Conservatives and NZ First all poll over 5%, whereas Act is gone. (This is what Key is dreading) Given that it appears that the Conservatives and NZ First could easily work together, that would leave Key struggling with his asset sales. In fact, I doubt he could even rely on the Maori Party or the Greens for support there either so the day would be saved. You see getting behind sensible Minor Partys is by no means a wasted vote. Choosing between two fools is. ;) |

Why is it that all these guys can come up with is Tax and Sales. How about "Living within our Means" as a suggestion? :) |

Put them in and we will be like Greese, Italy and Spain in the near future. Spending money you do not have is never a good idea. They are also dead set against anything that is likely to produce an income for the country. Oil or mineral exploration for example. I do not hold the current mob in particularly high regard either but at least they are making an effort to run the place as a going concern. | CliveM (6007) | ||
