1267865 2012-04-01 23:04:00 My concern is no Operating System is mentioned, find out if they come with an OS or not (I suspect they dont at that price), or do you have an OS to install on it?No, they said it's another $148 for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (OEM version with new PC) Raewyn (946)
1267866 2012-04-01 23:06:00 Maybe I should be asking if anyone here can build a PC for me for around $700.00? And do you take VISA? (lol) Raewyn (946)

1267868 2012-04-01 23:14:00 What I think of that system is it's a proper gaming machine capable of 1080P 3d gaming in pretty much anything, probably a lot more machine than you need for the low end games you mention and I'd expect it to cost around $1000 here with an OS. You could probably save a bit by choosing a lower specced graphics card.

I suspect the bigfish games don't need much power at all by modern standards and would probably run smoothly on any of the options suggested so far. I understand they are all flash based games played in a browser is that correct ?

1267869 2012-04-01 23:30:00 Just did some quick working out - That system from toms hardware, everything including the OS, but no labor cost to build or install software (hardware & OS on its own) comes to, in round figures, depending on where you get the parts $1346 NZ.

That graphic Card alone is over $400 BUT its an old card and not many places will have it, just looked and none of my suppliers have it.

Without that graphic Card,it would be roughly $900, depending on the Power Supply used, you have to have a good PSU, cheap crappy ones are just that. If you wanted a Graphic Card instead of using the onboard Graphics, that can be added in later.

I build plenty of PC's and usually recommend the i5 range of CPU's as they give more performance over the i3 and aren't that much more expensive.

And with that back to work or he boss will go nuts --Oh wait- I am the boss :D

1267870 2012-04-01 23:30:00 BigFish Games require Active X and Direct X but I usually download an installation file and run it and that copies the game files to my computer. They give spec's required for each game which is usually covers the CPU, RAM and HDD space needed.

So the AMD from Paradigm PC's will do the job? I sure like the price - lol.
