2011-11-20 03:02:00 | Also do you want two Freeview boxes? | Snorkbox (15764) | |
2011-11-20 03:28:00 | Nice. But are you really going to want 3D?? No, but price same, so why not? I often record two programs and watch another, mainly weekends, then watch during week.

2011-11-20 03:56:00 | Also do you want two Freeview boxes? The idea too have the recorder with Freeview is so you don't need the TV going when you want to record something if you are away. :)

2011-11-20 05:17:00 | That is right. I have a analogue DVD/HD recorder but I also have a seperate Freeview tuner which I hook up to it when I want to record something. My LCD TV doesn't have a Freeview tuner built into it. You could also buy a seperate Freeview tuner so you could still use your two analogue recorders. :)

2011-11-20 05:34:00 | Actually forget what I said about getting a seperate Freeview tuner as you should be able too connect your DVD/HD Freeview recorder to them if you wanted too. :)

2011-11-20 08:21:00 | Presumably my two analogue recorders will have no value later on? The TV's should be able to handle an analogue signal (ie the output from the old recorders) With the standalone Freeview decoders you'll be able to pass an analogue signal to your recorders, so they'll still be of some use, but they won't be recording HD resolutions of 1080. VHS is half the res of the old analogue broadcasts (704 x 576?) so about 704 x 288 (or is it 352 x 576?) No guarantees, but that's my belief at present anyway.

All arriving this week so will talk to installer about this question, meantime thanks Paul. |
