When trying to record sounds from an external source I end up with a very noticeable hiss through the recording. This hiss is apparent even with nothing attached to the line in or mic sockets. Is there any way to overcome this or is a new soundcard the only solution? (The hiss is noticeable on several different sound recording programs ie Goldwave, Cakewalk Pro). The current card is a C-Media Audio Legacy. I would be grateful for any advice on solutions or replacement cards\software. |
