| 7184 | 2000-11-23 01:08:00 | Hi, I have two Pentiums running Win95c, they are Direct Cable Connected through the parallel ports. There is no conflict shown in the device table and both LPT ports are using IRQ7. I am running DU-Meter in graphical mode and transfer speed varies dramatically from 4.0 to 45.0 kbps when transferring data. For the majority of the time it stays at 4.40kbps regardless of size of file or download. I transferred 400.mb and it took over an hour. QUERY:- I could understand variations on a telephone line but why on a direct connection? Is this speed to be expected normally? Regards Alan McLean |
