Have recently added new HDD. While using Recovery CD on new drive the software attempted to install recovery data onto original Maxtor 6Gb drive (due to drive names changing). Was able to stop process quickly but the original 6Gb drive now only lists some system files. Am I right in thinking that the old data is still on the HDD until overwritten and that may somehow be recovered? Have Norton Systemworks, but unsure if any of these utilities are of use. Data not critical but recent data saved would be useful to regain.
