I've been trying to install NT and keep getting this error after partitioning the disk (3500MB NTFS, 506 MB unformatted)'A disk read error occurred. Insert system diskette and restart computer'. This occurs just after the stage where I am instructed to remove any floppies, CD-ROMS and reboot. It appears after the 'Verifying DMI data pool' message. Nothing seems to work. Have tried fdisk /mbr, fdisk, setting up DOS partitions and everything seems to work fine until the above. The NT CD was used just last week on an identical machine with no problem. Can anyone suggest anything please? |
