| 7600 | 2000-12-14 23:02:00 | The error message I get upon bootup is a black screen message: 'Cannot find a decide file that may be needed to run windows or a windows application. The windows registry of system.ini file refers to this device file but the device file no longer exists. If you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling the associated application using it's uninstall or setup program. If you still want to use the application associated with this device file, try reinstalling that application to replace the missing file. mssp.vxd Press a key to continue' I have been getting this error message for over a year now and it's driving me nuts. Ever since I uninstalled IE4, I've had this problem. I have since reinstalled IE5, 5.5 and windows serveral times but no luck. I've played around with MSconfig, but that hasn't helped. Once I press a key it continues booting up, but it's very inconvienient. What drastic action am I going to have to take to fix this. Cheers |
