| 7665 | 2000-12-19 22:04:00 | I use Windows 95. My IE5 has started giving me 'program has performed an illegal operation and will close down' messages when I go to secure sites. I click the dialog. It repeats. I click it again and it flips me to a 404 error message. The same 'illegal' message pops up at random, on unsecured sites. And I get it when I try to open and XL file sent as an email attachment. I've visited tools>windows update on IE5 and downloaded their critical components installer. No change. Any suggestions?
