1245705 2011-11-27 02:43:00 Sorry Winston, referendums are up by a bunch of political lawyers' and if the box has a cross instead of a tick, then perhaps it is informal.

Someone on here will have the answer.

Lurking.

1245706 2011-11-27 03:34:00 The commies and NZ First would never support the government in supply or confidence matters anyway
NZ First has supported them in confidence and supply matters before so I think you are jumping the gun a bit there.

1245707 2011-11-27 04:37:00 The trouble there Ken is what you think is best for the country isn't necessarily what some one else thinks is best.

Mike,
It was not what I think as best for the country, i was taking a poke at those many thousands of voters who say , I always vote National, or I always vote Labour, and nothing will convince me to do otherwise. Such an attitude is not an intelligent use of a vote.

There are quite a few electorates in New Zealand were either National of Labour could put up a donkey as their candidate and the dumb beast would be elected. On reflection that would not neccessarily be a worse outcome than some of the people who do get elected.

Thats because they were in a coalition agreement and there is as much chance of NZ First ever getting into another coalition as pigs doing touch and goes at Whenuapai airstrip.

1245710 2011-11-27 06:43:00 Well done Winston . . . Not a binding referendum anyway, rofl .

Lurking .
The tradition for judging referendums on voting systems is to ignore the peasants, because politicians and bureaucrats know best when it comes to deciding how many extra assh . . . s are going to be seated in the chamber .
