1268969 2012-04-09 07:25:00 I recently re-installed my machine and had a similar problem with my 460's.I remember going into Windows updates and seeing the display driver (for the monitor) under optional updates.
After running that the problem just disappeared.
Also my Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4 doesn't like USB drives plugged in when starting up,it just hangs for ages then starts in Low resolution with no sign of the Nvidia Control Center and 2 crosses in the device manager.

1268970 2012-04-09 09:21:00 I've had similar a similar experience too. I uninstalled all the stuff to do with the card using Revo then ran Ccleaner stuck the original cd in the drive and restarted. That did it for me. Mind you there was a lot of heavy breathing going on in the period before that! It was an Asus silent card for my m-media PC. PPp (9511)

Are you talking about the display driver for the video card or the Monitor?

1268972 2012-04-09 19:39:00 The monitor.I ran all my install cd's including the monitor, updated graphic card drivers to latest but under device manager it still said Generic driver in monitor properties.I then ran the optional update for my Samsung monitor and it was fixed.
This may not work for you but it's worth a nudge.

I tried to use Revo uninstaller, but when running it, Revo could not find the video driver!

1268974 2012-04-10 10:03:00 In my Revo uninstall panel I had about three entries with Nvidea in them, and uninstalled the lot "HD thingies and all".The system will keep running in memory but the drivers etc will be wiped off the HD. On restart the system should pickup the drivers off the CD. If not, try starting in safe mode and install manually from the CD. Don't forget Ccleaner. The Nvidea download is an installation package an dosen't have a seperate entry for the driver as far as I can make out. Your problem of driver installation on startup may be Windows trying to update your driver if there is a dud or no driver installed
