2012-04-07 22:44:00 | Wainui helped to sort this out the last time I did this (updated CC and again inadvertantly installed Google Chrome). I can't click on things in Outlook and go to the web site - it tells me: 'This operation is canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Etc.' I looked back at Waiui's reply from last time, but when I go into the Registry - it has changed. I no longer find 'htmlfile' or in fact 'shell'. I would indeed be grateful for some help in 'sorting' this aggravating problem out! :)

2012-04-09 23:30:00 | Try here it has all the Ccleaner builds here (www.piriform.com) I always use the slim version as it has no extra stuff with it | gary67 (56) | |
2012-04-10 00:22:00 | I had the same problem recently after I removed Chrome from my SSD to save space. I found this site. My hyperlinks are now working. support.microsoft.com

2012-04-10 00:42:00 | Bobh - yes that was the site Wainui recommended to me last time. Thanks. :) | R.M. (561) | |
2012-04-10 01:41:00 | It appears that this is quite a common problem caused by Chrome. I did a bit of searching and found the site and fixed it in minutes. Bit scary letting Microsoft Fixit make changes remotely to my computer but it resolved the problem. Took me a while to refind the web page so that I could post it on F1.
