I have a Pentium 133 which ordinarily behaves very well. I don't turn it off very often, preferring to use power management on monitor and hard drive through Windows 98SE. However, when I get a freeze and have to reboot, my first try always results in lots of beeps but no bootup. After about half an hour I can successfully boot up, so the only real problem is the delay factor. Sometimes I have to have a couple of attempts to start after the PC has been off overnight. Any ideas, eg shonky power supply? |
