| 7839 | 2001-01-01 12:40:00 | Windows 98 has msconfig to norrow down and fix bootdown problems, but someone told me that program will not restore windows back to normal, and I should try and get a 'msconfig' that is not made by Microsoft, can any body add to that |

| 7840 | 2001-02-14 01:45:00 | Richard, The msconfig tool is there to help you bypass problems caused by incorrect configuration of the system, or to troubleshoot problems. It doesn't as you say restore Windows back to what it was, for instance if you've installed software that's causing problems. There are utilities for this purpose, such as the one mentioned (GoBack) and Norton Uninstaller. -- Juha |
