| 7890 | 2001-01-05 23:31:00 | having tried to export my registry to a floppy found that this was impossible as it was too large and was given the error message 'error writing file ther may be a disk of file system error.' Eventually exported it to a folder on my hard disk. Investigating very slowly the wonders of the registry I found that I have items like OldDisplayName. Old locale Old stub path Old version Can I eliminate these safely and will that bring down the size of the registry such that I can keep it on a floppy.? Sorry for the naivety of the query but I cant seem to find anything about how you can control the registryand its size. |
