| 8010 | 2001-01-15 10:19:00 | P111, 450, 128, Win 98 SE. I do not use a proxy server when connecting to the internet and leave the 2 boxes in control panel internet/connection,unticked. Recently, following a re-formatting, IE 5.5 sometimes won't work and I have found the 'connect using proxy server' ticked. why is this happening? I regularly de-frag and use Norton 2000 System check + System Mechanic for a few little tidy-up jobs. Are these causing the problem? |
