| 8038 | 2001-01-17 00:50:00 | Hi, Today I got my satellite internet service with ihug and the SkyMedia-200D card. Everything worked well, but it wouldn't work with my modem and receiving data. (I can get a satellite reception and that, but when I dail-up it stops and fails to work). The installer said that ZoneAlarm puts a lock on your hardware (except for your modem), that stops the satellite from working (by satellite I mean that it can't receive). Even after you uninstall ZoneAlarm (which I did, ASAP), it is still there, and the only way to get rid of it is to format your hard drive. Is this true? I have the adequite (more than) system requirements for the serivce, although my computer may not be in tip-top shape it does work. How do I get rid of these locks? What else could be affecting it? I'm running Windows Me, 96megs of ram, 200MHz processor. Thanks, Philip Q |
