Small branch office with a single PC and no backup facilities.

If I could get the following batch file to work it would accomplish this:

Dial head ofice using 'My Connection1'
(Get user to authenticate to NT typing in password manually)
Wait till connected
Run Outlook 2000 and check mail
Wait till complete
Run xcopy /e/s/v/u/k/i/c/m specifying data drive/s
(/m selects archive attribute and resets it.. is this OK for OS2 files?)
Wait till complete
Disconnect RAS connection
Leave message on screen to tell user the 'backup' was successful.

Reasons:

The user manually dials in once a day to head office to check email (OL2000 to our ES5.5 on NT4).

What I need to do is to get a copy of all new or changed files to head office (where we have a relaible autoamted daily back up with Veritas Exec).

The PC is used primarily booted in OS2, but the data can be acccessed when booted into Win98.

Win98 system scheduler can be used - to run a batch file once connected to by dial up. (But I dont want the system scheduler dialing p on its own - this must be initiated by the user).

So I need a bacth file to be run as soon as a dial up is made to head office (every time email is checked).

A FEW OTHER IDEAS...
Perhaps I should initiate the transfer from NT head office side (Is there an NT service that can listen to detect when that user RAss in and start a copy or specific backup from NT).

Should I use ftp instead of xcopy whilst dialled up?

Do I initiate the dial up from NT head office side (Can Win 98 recieve calls?)

Can Win98 scheduler run a backup set - specifying a dialup as the destination?

I could leave an old 486 runing at the site networked to the PC and somehow copy data across once a day (even though the primary PC will be booted in OS2 most of the time).
