| 8107 | 2001-01-21 06:01:00 | I am cleaning out an old 486 prior to giving it away, andd in the process transfered all files from C to D drive and formatted C drive. now that I have moved everything back to C, I can only start up with a Floppy. i have checked autoexec bat, command.c om, config.sys and win.ini files and as far as I can tell they are all present and correct. i have tried varying the settings for start up drive sequencing in CMOS but it will not start on C drive. Has any one got a good idea (other than throwing the *!?;:-! thing away? tfyp Regards Graham |
