Hi,a quick question for those that know these things.Do laptop mouse pads just 'Stop' working? Yesterday morning i was using my laptop when the mouse froze, nothing tried would persuade it to move. After admitting defeat I plugged in a mouse and proceeded to download and install the appropriate drivers, still no mouse **** it so I reinstalled the operating system, did the updates etc still no mouse.Where have I or it gone wrong?

Strange coincidence my Father in laws laptop did the same thing yesterday morning...Spooky

Windows 7 64bit Sony VPCEB13FG

Cheers :badpc:

1269921 2012-04-14 00:10:00 There is usually a key combination to disable it so it would pay to check that but usually a reboot restores it anyway. mikebartnz (21)

Look it up in your manual. :)
Another possibility is you've received a touchpad driver update through Microsoft Update, and it's not compatible with your touchpad (especially seeing as your father-in-laws laptop (same brand/model?) did the same thing).

Are you trying to get your post count up as that has been mentioned twice already.
