Then leaving his details open to view to any member of the public. This guy is the kind of person who thinks it's a smart idea to take a photo of his drivers licence and use that in all its(decent resolution) not icon sized glory as his profile picture on twitter.

Aha, smooth. That adds another 1 to the list of idiots from Trademe. Just give away your personal information..its not like anyone will ever use it againist you, right? I've actually seen a few people do that, where they upload a image of either their liscense or just a word document with all their details. I'd rather have a more generic display picture..like a cake. The cake is a lie, therefore theres no winning.

1245942 2011-11-29 20:26:00 Yes, you need to let this go - there's more to life than $57! You've complained to TradeMe, that's good and hopefully they'll ban him. There is nothing else you can do. If he lets you send it back you may as well; he might refund you, he might not.

Sometimes in life things like this happen unfortunately, with much bigger consequences.

Just be glad it wasn't a lot more money.

Trademe banning users? Thats unheard of. $57 is $57. You could buy $57 worth of [insert something here] with that!

You actually trust him to do that, after all that's happened?

Take it back in person, make sure you get the money back right there and then.

If you don't do that, and you just blindly send it back, then you're probably going to get NOTHING.

1245949 2011-11-30 08:10:00 I won't be sending it back don't worry. I can get a battery for $7-10 which is safer then sending it back and about the same cost. If the new battery doesnt work I've just got a $70 paper weight and i might as well attempt to send it back anyway. At that point what do I have to lose? icow (15313)

If you think a $7-10 battery wil be any good you are still living in the same fantasy world that led you to buy that phone. Cheap Lithium Ion batteries have a life expectancy shorter than that of a hedgehog on an Auckland Motorway at rush hour.

In just about everything electronic, cheap means chinese fake, and you are lucky if it lasts until you get out the door of the shop. Anything more than that is a bonus.
