2012-04-12 22:46:00 | Exactly. You need a lot of money for a gaming laptop. | ChazTheGeek (16619) | |
2012-04-12 22:49:00 | Yeah ive got enough money for the full spec alienware m18x i was just wondering if there are any other brands in nz for custom gaming laptops | stratex5 (16685) | |
2012-04-12 23:19:00 | DO NOT get the alienware. look at some of asus's gaming laptops they are very comparable in specs and will probably be cheaper. Alienware is fine if you have to money to buy somthign that will work well for a small amount of time. But you could buy another brand laptop that will work just as good if not better and be cheaper and last longer. Seems like you havent really looked at other options other than alienware. | Slankydudl (16687) | |

2012-04-12 23:45:00 | i dont think you realize that alienware laptops are not customizable apart from the standard RAM and HDDs which is customizable in just about all laptops. | Slankydudl (16687) | |
2012-04-12 23:52:00 | Go to: configure.ap.dell.com If you have a look the gpu, cpu and hdd is custom. i want to know if there is other brands in nz that do the same

2012-04-13 00:36:00 | Meh, You can buy at least two Sagers for the price of the alianware. And the Asus is not only expensive but only available in NZ with a 560m which isn't imo a capable chipset.

2012-04-13 00:42:00 | Yeah ive got enough money for the full spec alienware m18x Jesus $5200 base model $7200 with the cpu upgrade I gave up at the HD upgrade page, would have pushed it up another grand. Madness.

2012-04-13 00:52:00 | I second that sager idea. Alienware are being sold basically on brand name alone these days. They're like the apple macs of the PC world. I've seen sager mentioned before, you'll end up paying a fair amount but you will get it cheaper than alienware and probably better specced as well.
