1269888 2012-04-20 11:44:00 Get teamviewer install it then send me the id and pw it gives you. And I'll do it for you

I have TeamViewer Speedy, but I'll leave that until later next week because I'm up to my eyebrows in work and I'm off to Oz at sparrow's fart on Monday to do a job there. I'm not back until the early hours of Thursday morning so I'll be out for the count until the afternoon.

Cheers

1269890 2012-04-20 23:52:00 Me - I know IP when I connect direct to the modem - Telstra cable which is a fixed address - and direct to D-Link WiFi for setting it up. When using wifi I have settings to obtain an address automaticly but feel that if this is fixed, would stop me having to do a repair every 5 or 6 boots. Peter H (220)
1269891 2012-04-21 00:42:00 Probably would since if its on auto, it can give you an ip that isnt even within the router's ip range. Its random. Thats why you cant get on the internet sometimes. Dont know about cable tho. Its not in Auckland. Well, I dont think it is Speedy Gonzales (78)
1269892 2012-04-21 01:00:00 Type in Find my IP address in google, all will be reveled. Cicero (40)
1269893 2012-04-21 01:22:00 What I need is an IP address for when I am using the Wifi connection. No problems when connecting either direct to the modem or hard wire connected to the D-Link output. Suspect it could be a problem with my Pci wireless adaptor. Not too much of a hassle, but seeing Billy T having similar problems, thought I'd piggy back on it.
Wired connections work fine. WiFi is OK on my sons Smart phone etc.

1269894 2012-04-21 01:26:00 Just change the ip under the wireless adapters properties. Also make sure its secure. Updating the firmware on the wifi router / whatever it is may also help / fix it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1269895 2012-04-21 02:24:00 Thanks - will give it a go - got to finish mowing the lawn first. Peter H (220)
1269896 2012-04-21 04:01:00 Billy, that slowness of MSE to go green is normal for a bogged down system! Removing 3 or 4 startups won't help much. I'd start by removing about 18! I'll bet that would make a difference.

Anyway, hope the job in Aust went well.
