2011-12-05 04:15:00 | I don't use the net on the go ... would like to get mobile internet as my primary internet connection like maybe $20-30 more than ADSL's equiv deal (if it was available). Some countries, most of the population are connected via 3G than ADSL ... I don't need the most speediest connection either. When I am on travel, I just pay for it via casual, at home never, overseas tend to live without it and use it at the accom only but many hotels don't give them for free.

2011-12-05 19:07:00 | More of a scam to me. Attempting to make people pay extra ontop of their home broadband. Hate to think of what 2GB costs. Such a small amount..2GB..woop de doo! | EmoCat (16620) | |
2011-12-05 19:22:00 | 100MB on your phone can be a lot depending on what you're doing. I remember on my iMate Jam, myfirst data plan was 3MB a month. This was only about 5-6 years ago on Vodafone. 1MB was $8 or 3MB was $15. I was such a geek, using MSN Messenger on my phone. Back then everybody was rockin' their Nokia 3315's too :p

2011-12-05 20:22:00 | 5-6 years ago..cant stop thinking about that. Horrible phones back then, although i didnt really need one at the time. I dont remember the 1MB -> 3MB thing but eh..that is so small! How long did it last? Half an hour of MSN? | EmoCat (16620) | |
2011-12-05 21:08:00 | i was thinking $70 for 10gb for 3g would be ok to me ... But no such thing. Then one can use on the go and at home on one account. Dont use on the go. Email, fb can wait til get to campus or home.... If travel in nz maybe just fb or news or weather 50c a days. Overseas why i went nokia for offline maps with routing and poi's. Google is great with connection but cache is too limited. tended to live without it overseas as good hotels wifi is not free .... Cannot be fused to waste travel time looking for wifi. | Nomad (952) | |
2011-12-05 21:12:00 | in the days had a nokia 5110 with data cable for emails. Did the job. Wasn't too bad compared to voice rates ...... also had a mobile fax no. Dad still have a 6310 as spare but they are well built phones. i think mobile fax need older phones and on voda only ...... | Nomad (952) | |
2011-12-05 22:53:00 | I would use it but its far to expensive. Over in china a mate from the embassy streams NZ radio to his phone most of the day. Pretty much every time he is on it he's using data services of some sort. Its just so cheap, when NZ catches up with data prices I will use it but now its far to expensive.

2011-12-06 06:55:00 | I pay $150 every 6 months, for 12GB to be used any time over that 6 months (works out to $12.50 per GB, 2GB per month). Still expensive, but definitely better than it used to be. My provider is 2degrees. | Erayd (23) | |
2011-12-06 07:52:00 | Got an iPad but no smartphone. Pay $20 for 1 GB a month on 2 degrees. The only stupid thing is to do anything with the account I need to send them a text or get a text from them. On an iPAD? I wouldn't want to pay some of the "standard rates" 2 degrees charges $0.50 MB (thats $500 a GB) no wonder people get massive bills.
