1246939 2011-12-04 00:57:00 I've gotta say it's been nice ducking and diving all over the net and not worrying about how much I've chewed thru!! (And it's not over yet!!)

Being the suspicious sort I took a screen shot of Telstar's usage meter for my connection at 6:20pm on Friday, and then again at around 8:20 am on Saturday (it's always a bit behind) just to be sure it wasn't moving! I also made a note of what my two little usage apps were saying.

Obviously I'm a minnow in this pond - I reckon at the moment I've only used about 540 Mb, but considering that my normal monthly usage is only between two and three gigs, that's not a bad percentage.

So at the end of the day which of you is going to have racked up the most? Is anybody else keeping score?:banana

1246940 2011-12-04 01:06:00 I havent downloaded much. Just some program updates / reinstall Win7, so reinstalled XP mode / and its updates. And decided to get the Ubuntu 11.10 dvd's at 1.5 gb each. May have been more if I was on Xbox live playing online. But, I dont have a gold acct

I dont bother with p2p / torrents or movies. Looks like you cant check usage now- their certificate expired today.

1246941 2011-12-04 01:37:00 Just over 11GB yesterday from Microsoft. My son downloaded a game from steam to his computer, 6GB of usage on the meter. wainuitech (129)
1246942 2011-12-04 02:34:00 Ah it's great having a 150GB cap now at work so dont have to worry about this sort of thing. :D CYaBro (73)
1246943 2011-12-04 03:11:00 About 8GB so far. But slow going, a few downloads just died. Haven't been brave enough to game!

1246945 2011-12-04 03:51:00 If you use IE, just tell it to ignore it and carry on -- the usage has certainly been disabled over the weekend, thats a possible reason for the error as well. Wait till after 6 then try :D

1246946 2011-12-04 04:15:00 Yep, I just told FF to continue. Def not counted any traffic during the weekend.... I have the odd days when it doesn't register any traffic either, seems flaky at the best of times! :badpc: Renegade (16270)
1246947 2011-12-04 07:33:00 With Steam updates (which is unmetered on Telstra Clear anyway) Origin downloads (EA Sports) and a bit of other stuff, I've done about 70 gigs since Friday night. Should have unmetered only between midnight and six though I reckon, slows it down to snails pace during the day. Twelvevolts (5457)
1246948 2011-12-04 07:41:00 I wish I was with telstra, I have sc2 and bf3 to download. icow (15313)
