Sons already got 3 months left at his work. I'd say if it goes like last time, many businesses will fold, wage help or not, that doesn't pay all their bills.

1471040 2020-08-12 10:10:00 i'm almost on the border. staff are having to go back and forth through the check points, which slows the work down a bit.
we are essential work anyway but having to deal with check points and traffic is a problem.

1471041 2020-08-12 21:49:00 So why are they panic buying? Surely they have enough in their pantry to keep them going for a week at least. And why do they buy up many packs of toilet paper? What's so special about bog rolls? So why don't they do as they are being advised: shop normally? Can't understand them. Roscoe (6288)

A friend who works at a supermarket said it was mainly just one race panic buying, literally going from one supermarket to another cleaning out the shelves .
Must be a culture thing. I guess if we came from a communist country with a past history of food shortages (to the point of starving) we'd have a different perspective .

Its the mad rush to get a covid test that I cant understand.
If you have zero symptoms , why would you que up for 1/2 a day to try & get a test.

Covid : the virus where you require a test to tell if you're sick or not .
The cats out of the bag now. I think its time to get a grip on the reality that we cant beat this virus . Do we go into lockdown every other month for the
next 2-3 years , or just accept that we cant keep it out & cope the best we can.

1471043 2020-08-12 22:07:00 Just wondering, is anyone here using that Covid tracking app ?
That App was a disaster , why release an app that wont work on older phones ? You want everyone to use it, not just those with the latest tech.

1471044 2020-08-12 23:41:00 I installed it yesterday during Cindy's 4pm party political broadcast.

I've heard it's a bit ****.
