So man centres are full of stupid people who think that they are are exempt from common-sense requirements that benefit most. . Call me a Fascist but I think many people do not deserve freedom of choice. Look a low voting % yet many of those criticise Govt -local and country. Peer pressure is what will force most people do adopt common sense health requirements. I have been in public toilets where still patrons walk out without washing hands. Do such people deserve consideration as to their thoughts ? Scum in my opinion |

| 1471107 | 2020-08-29 01:04:00 | Moving Auckland to L2 is nuts. They are diseased and will move south to be among us virus-free people and spread their unclean-ness. All because Jacinda Un Jong wants their votes in October. |

| 1471109 | 2020-08-29 02:49:00 | Moving Auckland to L2 is nuts. i agree. case numbers are way to high and far to recent. its begging for failure. on the good side failure will mean level 4 for auckland right on election time. it doesn't matter how confident they are in containing it, mother nature has a real nasty habit of proving people wrong. |

It is quite obvious that the current panic has a lot more to do with Politics than health. There are lot of things far more likely to kill you or yours in the near future. | CliveM (6007) | ||

The vaccines currently being developed are being produced in the hope of making money. Nothing else. There are several diseases that humans have suffered from for many years that we live with and have no vaccine for. Life is for living not for hiding in fear of something that is very unlikely to hurt you. |

There are several diseases that humans have suffered from for many years that we live with and have no vaccine for. Life is for living not for hiding in fear of something that is very unlikely to hurt you. motivation has always been a problem. however with a huge amount of money at stake means a lot of people are really keen to make a working vaccines. which is also why its far more likely that they will succeed. the problem with other diseases is they don't effect enough people in wealthy countries for them to spend the time and money on making a cure. which sucks and it highlights what people think is most important. no different to people in nz who want covid to be spread around to save them a few dollars. as for "fear of something that is very unlikely to hurt you" goes, just keep in mind that the at risk age group plus at risk people due to medical conditions is about 20% of our population minimum (not counting those who are more prone due to genetics and those who do not know they have medical issues). its "unlikely to hurt you" only if your in that other 80% and even then the risk is still there, its just small. even with this little outbreak, i think its 7 people gone into ICU out of a 100 or so. then there is the case in usa where 25 year old has caught covid twice and had to be put on ventilator. once your on ventilator only 1 in 5 survive. i've read interview of a survivor who had a young person in the bed next to him who did not make it. this is not some minor little thing that many people are trying to make it out as. like that covid denier who said it was all fake, then died from it. |
