1470573 2020-07-21 05:18:00 Covic 19 hasn't run its course yet. But this thread certainly has, give it a rest please it's becoming repetitive.

That's what I said about The Chase, so I stopped watching.

1470574 2020-07-21 05:20:00 I wasn't going to post in this thread but -- oh well :)

If people are coming back to NZ because its a safer country at the moment then they should be made to pay. As its been mentioned earlier on there has been plenty of time gone bye that they could have come back, but they didn't.

At the moment - its ONLY talk saying they could charge, its not set in concrete, National appear to have a 3K STARTING fee - Thats it like it or lump it and the 3K is only the beginning, from the original 1st link
Under National’s proposed scheme the first adult in a group would cost $3000, while additional adults in the same group would cost $1000. Children three or over would cost $500 while infants would be free. ----- A National Party spokeswoman said their costs were based on those used in New South Wales, which are the exact same. So Mum, Dad and 1 kid $4500

The comment :
$3k isn't reasonable because being forced to stay in a hotel when there are cheaper options (we originally quarantined at motorhomes on army sites) available isn't reasonable. While there maybe cheaper options - It wouldn't go well, There was a couple on TV the other day, lived in the USA for a while then came back, and in their now American Accent - complain about many things from the way they couldn't do what they wanted, couldn't go anywhere to the "conditions" of the rooms and free food, to the point of complaining over an hour or two.

So "Army Style accommodation" Yeah that would go down like a lead balloon. ;)

Each person entering New Zealand costs the taxpayer roughly $4000 on average. The Government have forecast the total cost of the scheme will be around half a billion dollars by the end of 2020. Why should we Tax paying people who have stopped this from going wild like in USA and other countries have to pay out for others who just want a free ride, and possibly leave again when this settles down.

1470575 2020-07-21 05:26:00 probably similar to what happened to the others.

a nurse flew in, ignored the self quarantine and went straight to work at the old folks home.
another was an aussie who flew in to visit granddad and was tested positive on here return to aussie.

Run with that comment, just read the The Press, Victoria's aged homes infected has jumped from 86 to 312 homes, holy toledo batman.

Still think we should send the bill to the CCP's medical lab. in Wutan. Bats have been part of their diet for 5,000 years, article in the PCOG magazine. Hope this is not picked I could be hounded like the local Professor.

thats another debate as there has been over reporting as well as under reporting. thats kinda to be expected in a pandemic where hospitals etc are stretched past their limits.
no ones is going to spend the time and money to work out the exact cause of death. it looks like covid, call it covid and move onto the next one.

you would have to run out the razor wire and have fully armed troops, cause they will be fleeing those campers left right and centre.

Are they?
Or perhaps it's the job loss and such driving that decision....when you lose everything, going home is natural.

people where coming into nz for to ride out covid right from the start. they will go straight back overseas once this has all settled down.

but yes there is people who are coming back because no work, no welfare, can't afford to stay there.
however most of those would have been out of work quite some time ago and should be back already.
