1471076 2020-08-15 01:23:00 Don't worry to much, our wonderful Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will guide us through yet another obstacle in our path and keep us on the righteous path of Labour running the country and keeping money grubbing national and its supporters out of power and diminish their ability to exploit the workers and ordinary people who just want their fair share of what the country has to offer and not having to have the whole of their waking lives focused on trying to keep body and soul together trying to find the money to live.

Yay Jacinda and the LABOUR PARTY.

I have never really been a Labour fan in my 60 years of voting. However, I think they will get back in. It appears that half a dozen ministers do all the work and Jacinda , good leader and communicator that she is needs to toughen up a hell of a lot. Discipline in the Labour parliamentary team is not the best and she should get really tough with these a...holes that break isolation from these hotels. Then, if they get back in with a workable number they should get shot of the shackles that tie them to NZ First and the Whacko Greens. Then get some business people on an advisory basis to stop them from doing stupid things like giving Jones $1B to bribe the North with.

Just my thoughts

Ken

In Waitakere, according to the numerous I know, no-one has any money this time, no queues at shops, other shops shut, and people I know are just worried in case it goes full lockdown again and they're out of work this time.
Immediately.

Ken

maybe.
Why I don't know, we did not have National in to compare how it would have gone...never mind their comments which are meaningless.

1471079 2020-08-15 02:49:00 Generally speaking we vote governments out in NZ rather than vote them in and if there are not to many more stuffups before the election Labour will, in my opinion, get back in. That said I seem to be running into a lot more people lately who are more than a little annoyed with the current lockdown regime with its attendant loss of jobs and income. If the election is held before much else goes wrong and enough people still believe St Jacinda will save us all then her party is quite safe. I get the feeling however that if the election is delayed for long we will have a one term government.

I used to quite like the fact that FFP gave us just one party who took all the credit or all the blame for how things were run. MMP while it gives minor parties a voice as intended gives them far too much power and also has the effect of giving the majority party a built in excuse when things go wrong.

Back to the Virus. We can not keep it out forever if at all. There will be no vaccine in the foreseeable future. Learn to live with it.

The PM should carry on as government and form a coalition with all her top health experts and mathematicians, to win this battle.

Refer to CHURCHILL's 1940's coalition team. Didn't want politician's' then either.

ACT on 4.9% and losing Epsom, and the Greens over 5% sounds better to me :)
