1471047 2020-08-13 01:46:00 I guess if we came from a communist country with a past history of food shortages (to the point of starving) we'd have a different perspective .
.

Like hell.
My mum DID come from one. Before she left she said you'd queue, get 1/2 loaf bread and a cabbage, if you were in the first 1/2 of queue. Those at back got nothing.
She has not panic bought a thing. Nor wants to. She thinks they're all mad.

More like some people are stupid...especially toilet paper........

1471048 2020-08-13 02:47:00 So why are they panic buying? Surely they have enough in their pantry to keep them going for a week at least. And why do they buy up many packs of toilet paper? What's so special about bog rolls? So why don't they do as they are being advised: shop normally? Can't understand them.

'Coz some of them are continuously sh1tt1ng themselves :D

1471049 2020-08-13 02:48:00 Just wondering, is anyone here using that Covid tracking app ?
That App was a disaster , why release an app that wont work on older phones ? You want everyone to use it, not just those with the latest tech. Installed it about a week after it came out originally, worked fine each time I used it.

1471050 2020-08-13 02:55:00 Yes, mine is working fine too. I notice many more places now have the app now. I complained a couple of weeks ago about a meeting that is held in a church hall didn't have the app on display. They now have... :) R.M. (561)
1471051 2020-08-13 04:47:00 Installed the tracker app today. Haven't used it yet but sure getting tied of the fishwife's in the supermarkets and some stores yelling "Keep your 2 meters" "You can't leave the store until the person in front of you is 2 meters away" etc.. Power has gone to their heads and I live in a small town in the Waikato. paulw (1826)

Bull dust. Nothing wrong with it. I have had it since the beginning, and it works fine, IF businesses are registered and display the Q Code in a place where you can see it. If it is placed on or near the door as you enter you notice it and it reminds you to scan. Some places put it in obscure parts of their premises so I overlook it (or it isn't there at all I suppose).

I found at the dentist the other day that my phone wouldn't scan, and the receptionist said other people had complained as well. I found that because they had mounted the code too low it was difficult to judge where to place the phone so it could focus. I tried moving the phone further away and more upright and it was fine. I should have told the receptionist it was their placement of the image that was causing the problem, but I only thought of that too late. Dumbass.
