Well, Jack the Ripper could raise the moral tone, and a squirrel could bump the IQ up a bit, so perhaps they should just have at it and grab any old drunk in the press-gang maneuver.

Possible best solution, disallow all Ellerslie votes (on obvious grounds)?

1470897 2020-08-05 04:47:00 Van Velden is a Bikram yogi who enjoys knitting and tapestry in her spare time.

Next up is hunter, wool spinner and mother of four Nicole Mckee.

little-known sea kayaker, gardener and deck builder, Simon Court.

Chris Baillie was for 15 years a police officer and a youth aid, he's been a secondary school teacher for special needs kids He is a big fan of the country's jazz scene and is a bit of a musician himself.

James McDowall is a small business owner, a PhD in marketing He's a self-proclaimed classic liberal, who enjoys photography, travel

Geez, such CVs. Is this Act or the Greens.

Spinning, travel, yogis, kayaking!!! Spiffy. Comes in very handy when budgeting for a country.

Just as much as a carefully posed concerned smile, or an exhortation to be kind ...

Just posted minutes ago, here's Sir Bob's take:

1470901 2020-08-05 08:34:00 Well I personally know Chris Bailie he was our neighbour for years and a very good teacher not just of special needs, he has also been a police officer for several years too.

It's not hard to see why Act are polling so high they are against the current Tahr cull that the Minister of Destruction Sage of the Greens has implemented DoC to carry out, Act also want to review the firearms law changes that happened last year that penalised law abiding citizens but did nothing to address guns in the hands of crims. So the firearms community have got behind Act and then they got Nicole McKee onboard who was the leader of the Council of licensed firearms owners.

At this rate Prefect might have to divorce the dear leader Crusher and look at Act.

1470902 2020-08-05 09:22:00 I like Acts policies and they will get my party vote. Used to throw it NZ Firsts way but since its allied itself to the Commies I wont vote for them ever again. prefect (6291)
1470903 2020-08-05 20:43:00 I’m getting the impression there could be a bit of tactics involved in this election.

A couple of staunch Tory mates are talking of voting Labour.

They are very disappointed with National and think the best bet is to vote Labour in the hope Labour can get the numbers to govern alone and get rid of the Greens who they see as a weird religion of neither use nor ornament.

I think they have a point? :)

1470904 2020-08-05 21:18:00 I also was thinking along those lines, as I feel that even if Labour have a majority and could govern alone, they would include the crazy whacko Greens and give them political clout.

Not my thing Labour.

1470905 2020-08-05 21:51:00 Somewhat harder for me. I like SOME policies of labour, SOME of National, one from Act, one from Greens.

But not all. Sigh....
