Current phone is a Sony Xperia, android KitKat purchased end of 2014. It's been a great phone for my needs. I'm considering a Huawei Y5 2019 if I can purchase through PartPay or similar, they are selling for around $180. I would welcome any comments and suggestions and would someone explain what 'dewdrop' design means. Operating system is Android 9 + EMUI 9. I've searched EMUI but still don't understand what the point of it is. Thanks :) ps I use Spark prepaid casual rate. |

EMUI 9 is just the Huawei interface to the phones underlying Android OS. I am not familiar with the Y5 but the Huawei phones both my wife and I currently have work very well at present. Because of the Trade War between the USA and China there is a possibility that security updates etc will no longer be available to Huawei from Google in the future so that is also a consideration. |
