| 1487660 | 2022-08-04 23:50:00 | I have a problem with IMAP on Outlook. It was working fine but now I am getting send and receive errors and nothing I have tried is working. This is the send/receive error 11358 This is the error from Test Account Settings 11359 After some googling I disabled the ESET plugin for Outlook but that did not resolve the issue. Nothing has been changed from my end, it just stopped working. Its worth noting that the webmail is still sending and receiving without issue. Even with this confirmation I had the mail server rebooted as well but still no fix. Help is appreciated. |

| 1487661 | 2022-08-05 02:25:00 | Is this the inbuilt outlook App (in Windows 10/11), OR the Actual Outlook Program that comes with Office. ??? If its the office version, depending on the age of it, there may be a insecure issue with older versions. Basically Outlook 2013 and earlier are not compatible. | wainuitech (129) | ||

Office Pro Plus 2013 Its worked fine for years, not sure why its stopped working. SSL and TLS settings are all fine. I am at a loss When you say Outlook 2013 and earlier are not compatible,, not compatible with what exactly? |

Just because its worked for years doesn't mean anything, unfortunately, putting it quite simply -- Its to old / Not Compatible with Microsoft ( and many other) Email providers Security Settings. Even outlook 2016 is about to hit the same brick wall. Have a read : Also scroll down to "Current status" techcommunity.microsoft.com Microsoft, just a few weeks ago changed security settings and some devices like Printers that use scan to email stopped working with invalid Passwords, the passwords were correct, just the older software is blocked / out of date. See it all the time, outdated Outlooks, ( same wording as you provided) install something like EMClient, exact same settings and away it goes working perfectly. |

I thought it was Gmail that had just changed the security for logins. |

Its the same type of thing, look at the 1st and 2nd message you posted, the server login failed - cannot connect to Server. Your user name / password will be correct ( as you pointed out by the web mail working) , but read the links, Microsoft has killed earlier versions of office and are no longer compatible, this is why you are getting the errors. If you don't want to upgrade, that's your choice, AGAIN if you read what I actually wrote "See it all the time, outdated Outlooks, ( same wording as you provided) install something like EMClient, exact same settings and away it goes working perfectly." There's a free and a paid version, works fine, will even import your existing account / Emails. |

| 1487668 | 2022-08-05 06:37:00 | Just move to EM client, and Softmaker free office, that's what I did as MS office was too expensive and I realised I didn't need it. Now if I could find a Topo map program like Memory map or Map toaster for Linux I would swap OS as well but I can't and i have a couple of other must have programs that are Windows only. |

| 1487669 | 2022-08-08 02:56:00 | So I followed the advice and downloaded EM Client. I like the look of it but I cannot get it to work with my IMAP account. Anyone familiar with the ins and outs of EM and could help please? |
