| 1487571 | 2022-07-25 23:18:00 | My 2 sisters who have Gmail accounts have started getting the attached warning in emails from me. I have found various suggestions for suppressing the message but I would like to know why it started happening. Any ideas? 11351 |

Are the emails coming from your actual Computer or online (Web Mail). And who is your email Provider ? Could just be google play silly buggers again, they have been playing about with their security lately and its been causing a few headaches. (side issue) like the scan to email from Printers - bit of trickery to get them to work with gmail again :) |

| 1487573 | 2022-07-26 02:41:00 | The emails are coming from my computer. My brother-in-law is getting the message too. My ISP is Voyager. I'm going to talk to them this arvo. | Tony (4941) | ||
| 1487574 | 2022-07-26 03:13:00 | I've spoken to Voyager and they didn't seem particularly surprised. They are going to make a server-side change that should fix it. The guy also suggested I tell my sisters etc to white-list me. Unfortunately I found it a bit difficult to follow what he was saying so I'm not sure how quickly the change will take. I'll report back. |

Also just a simple google who is XXXXXXX . So that's why gmail will be flagging it. Its the type of setup scammers would use. Also helps a lot if all info is given when asking something, leaving out details can give a lot of hassles. |

Sorry if I made it difficult. I'm not sure what details I've left out. I didn't mention anything about a website because I don't have one and so never thought about it. |

I didn't mention anything about a website because I don't have one and so never thought about it. What I was referring to is the majority of places that have a domain name will answer a Ping command to see if they are actually alive. A common trick for Scammers is to make up fake domains names to scam people. An example, if you ping This site you get a reply, its active and legit, but ping the address you posted and its doesn't exist. If they don't exist, then you have to consider they "may" be fakes and that's one reason why Gmail may have been flagging your email as a unknown and caution. Hence the only options in the picture posted as well - Report Spam, Report Phishing. Here's the ping commands I meant. 11355 You have to be so careful these days. I got a Call this afternoon from a NZ Mobile number claiming to be from Paypal saying there was a transaction I needed to decline if I didn't make it, or return the call if any questions, I simply hung up. I called the Mrs as I know she uses Paypal under our family name, not her, not for the amount they claimed (Card wouldn't have taken the amount anyway) . Checked when I got back home - No Such transaction anywhere. |

| 1487580 | 2022-07-27 04:49:00 | I forwarded an email from my outlook account to my Gmail account and got a warning from Gmail similar to the one Tony mentioned telling me to be careful not to click on anything as I did not usually get emails from me and it looked like spam:) | CliveM (6007) | ||
