Most of you have plenty years of life experience. How about that? I don't understand high finance enough to offer advice. I am struggling today with the news that Gummint has borrowed (must have!) $2.1 Billion to buy KiwiBank which they already own via ACC, NZ Post and the NZ Superannuation Fund. Then, those three will pay a large dividend to shareholders (of which the Gummint is one) They say they did this so NZ can have a 100% owned bank... Yeh right! What about the TSB? 100% NZ owned and a delight to deal with! Then the Gummint will declare things are getting better as their income has increased without mentioning this fact, so, seeing as we are doing so well, we can borrow some more money based on our good management.............. I'm getting lost in the realms of high finance and it's giving me a headache........... I will wait for you guys to show me where I am going wrong! Ken |

Bit like our Local National MP- Chris bishop -- Spouting on about getting a 2nd access road in/out of Wainui, as someone asked- Why all of a sudden when they cant do anything, They had years to get one going when National was in power, but then come up with every excuse under the sun for not doing it, blame everyone else for their failures, now they cant do anything they are saying its needed. |
