| 1488743 | 2022-10-15 05:36:00 | No thanks, it's not my thing. Hate the smell of it, wet or dry. I have strawberries in 2 of them, lettuce (for now in the top bit) until I decide what else. |

| 1488745 | 2022-10-15 20:24:00 | No-one here that keen on them. I have tomato, capsicum, peas, beans (later), corn (later), potato, zucchini, spring onion, lettuce, radish, beetroot (brother likes those), broccoflower, herbs of various kinds, passionfruit, cherry (young and sad), grape, strawberries and have ordered a white one that is meant to be a bit pineapple tasting, and later at end of summer do leeks, cauli and more broccoflower. So um....hate brussels, broad beans and kale. Not really into silverbeet. Gardening friend of my brother keeps trying to give us seedlings and veg of that kind that he grows, he says there is something wrong with us, LOL. So...um, I don't know, just more perhaps? Pumpkin, no...we'd get too many. I use the pear shaped ones but not expensive I get them for $1 each at local veg place, they grow them. |

Oh and of course home-made mint sauce, shredded mint leaves a little sugar and a little malt vinegar. We eat well here. I wanted to roast some beets too but none growing at the moment. |

Show off... lamb yum....me and brother our fav is lamb rack and second fav is roast leg. And third is shanks. Stuff is so expensive now though. Kumara, growing isn't the issue, storing is. Kumara can last for about 1 -2 months in a cool dark place. I grew it once, but it's more hassle than potatoes. being a vine, and the tendrils root themselves so you have to keep them from doing that. I have mint, in a pot....essential for roast lamb, I do like mine a bit thicker though, not mint jelly but thicker than just vinegar, I use a tiny bit of gelatine to give it that tomato sauce thickness....And I use red wine vinegar. Yum. My son went to Costco, after dithering for ages. he said it was worth it for meat. He got lamb, mince and various pork cuts, catfood, jeans, art supplies for daughter, lots of meat and a fancy roasting dish (special racks with it). Roasting dish was $49, I looked elsewhere online and cheapest I found was $80, worst $250 for the same kind of thing. |
