1487566 2022-07-30 02:42:00 There is an excellent cleaner for Linux called 'Stacer'.

I hadn't heard of that one. Looks like it duplicates a lot of functions from other programs, though. I think if you just want a cleaner, something like BleachBit makes more sense.

1487568 2022-08-02 02:13:00 Whats really Ironic is "CCleaner has been hacked twice since Avast acquired it in mid-2017. ' AND they are meant to be a Security Company - Hopeless at that.

The Versions that got hacked at one stage was the 32 Bit version 5.3 ( free)

Before you install CCleaner search Youtube for "Is CCleaner Malware?" It is by Chris Titus Tech and just posted today. What the guy doesn't do is actually a bit of a concern. He just used the default install. :horrified:groan:THATS A BIG NO NO !!! you should ALWAYS use the customize option ( that goes for any Software really) , then you can untick and deny the extra crap AVAST have added during install.

I used to use 'Bleachbit' but it was dangerous. 'Stacer' is automatic like CCleaner, never messes up.

Thanks mzee for the “Heads Up” on Stacer.

I’d never heard of it, but I’ve installed it now and it looks quite useful, so into the toolbox it goes. :)
