1487967 2022-08-24 03:38:00 Bloody good job by the police, maybe the little pricks might think twice next time.

Edited: love the comments at the end of that article as well :D

1487968 2022-08-24 04:13:00 Having had a car stolen and abandoned in the past, I can say with certainty it's a very big issue for the victim...

Broken windows
Broken steering lock
Broken steering column switches from the steering column being physically booted off its mounting to the dashboard
Damaged panelling
Broken front grille
Damaged hood and also panel beneath the grille from towies who just assumed it was a write off and that they could be cowboys towing it.
Stolen tools
Stolen battery
Rip off insurance who took money based on one value, but would only pay out on a lower value
Weeks of inconvenience without the car and the costs of repairs, paint, etc.

And all because some undisciplined turds didn't want to catch a bus.

1487971 2022-08-25 00:41:00 More on this case:

"We note that Officer C pleaded guilty to a charge of injuring by an unlawful act. Any officer whose actions are potentially criminal will be thoroughly investigated and held to account.

There remains an ongoing employment investigation, and for that reason we are not in a position to comment further at this time."

www.police.govt.nz

Unbelievable lack of common sense by the "Independent Police Conduct Authority".

What nonsense!

"Any officer whose actions are potentially criminal will be thoroughly investigated and held to account."

So stupid to hold this as true in this case, makes me lose all faith.

This following of the "law" to the letter rather than the spirit gives me the screaming heebee jeebies.

How is this criminal, a female officer apprehending actual juvenile delinquents as they are committing a crime using her trained dog.

1487972 2022-08-25 00:46:00 HERE (www.stuff.co.nz) we go again, same Woke Judge! :groan: B.M. (505)
1487973 2022-08-25 01:33:00 Is it that the judge doesn't like dogs, or conversely, likes crims? I suppose, since their background is from the legal domain, that their very generous incomes depend on crime, and the more disorder there is in society the more work there is for themselves and their cronies.

How were the cops meant to get this guy out of the car? Kind words? Begging? Bribes? Maybe let him do thousands of dollars of damage to thier patrol cars as he tries to get away, and then try more begging and pleading with him?

1487974 2022-08-25 04:14:00 I recall getting into a scrap back in the 60’s at the Hastings Blossom Festival.

It started when one idiot threw an empty beer bottle into the crowd.

Anyway, the long and the short of it was I think there was only about 2 Police on crowd control, but up rolled the Fire Brigade.

Well, the sods put the big hose on us, blew us off our feet, and every time one of us found our feet they knocked us over again. Eventually they washed us down the gutter to a cesspit where we joined others who were seen to be misbehaving.

How the hell nobody was drowned I’ll never know, but there wasn’t any fight left in any of us.

I wonder if this Woke Judge would award me compensation for missing skin and hurt feelings?

Teenage driver in fatal Shelly Bay crash has court charges wiped

"The judge came down from the bench to shake the youth’s hand and told him he could now leave the court for good".
