8274 2001-02-01 12:47:00 I have a TMC AI5VG+ motherboard with VIA MVP3 chipset and an AMD K6-2/500 processor. The operating system is MS Windows Millenium edition.
I am experiencing a problem within System properties/device manager/system devices/PCI bus/PCI bus properties/IRQ steering.
When I enable USB support in the BIOS setup Windows displays a message 'IRQ Steering
Disabled. IRQ Table has some errors'. This error does not appear to prevent the computer from functioning and it continues to go well. However, it does bother me that something is not right.
I have attempted to repair the IRQ tables by following Microsoft's instructions in the 'help' in PCI bus properties but to no avail.
If I disable USB support, IRQ steering functions properly again and the error message disappears.
I have re-installed the VIA 4 in 1 drivers (these were installed when motherboard was installed)and have downloaded the latest drivers from VIA but again it has made no difference. I have installed VIA's PCI IRQ Routing Miniport Driver also, alas again to no avail.
What is going wrong?
Please don't suggest contacting TMC's technical support as I did this back 10-04-2000, 21-11-2000, 12-12-2000and 27-01-2001, with no response or even acknowledgment! (Don't buy a TMC motherboard!)
I hope you may be able to help me with this issue as I have run out of any further ideas.

Thank you
Russell C.
