| 8242 | 2001-01-31 11:24:00 | For years I have used and taught the use of Microsoft WORKS. I use it for word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Rarely any problems. But this last week I have written a database for a local client to file all his cheques. No problems until I set up a couple of reports for him using this information. Because of the large number of fields and the fairly large amount of simple maths involved I was happy to see the reports spread over 2 pages when printed. But whenever I save it, then call it back I find the width of some report fields have changed - generally gone bigger. This causes the report to be printed over 3 pages !! I have tried everything. Different computers, different versions of MSWORKS. Rewriting the database and report specifications. Nothing works. The reports come back after saving in a modified format. I always believed reports were saved in the format being used when the database itself was saved. Any suggestions to stop these ?illegal? changes to my work ? Tom |
