| 8302 | 2001-02-03 23:00:00 | My old 166 mmx is becoming inadequate for me now, and I m planning to buy a new com. But before I go out and get it, I just need to clarify a few things.... 1) Is thunderbird not stable?? Should I get athlon instead?? 2) Y is P3 so much more expensive then athlon, when athlon is better according to most ppl? 3) What motherboard should I get, preferably under $300? 4) What is ata 100?? 5) I notice that most athlon 1g MB comes with 100 FSB, that doesn't sound really fast considering u can get 133, 166 or even 266 fsb, will that effect the performance of the processor??
