| 8297 | 2001-02-03 20:19:00 | This must have been posted alot. Well, I have`nt find any answers yet. Before I begin, I list my system specs. Pentium II 300Mhz 96 Mb of RAM (32 and 64) Gravis Ultrasound MAX (Sound card) NVidia Riva TNT2 M64 (Graphics) Direct X is probably causing problems for games, which use my TNT2 M64 card. And Direct3d must be the cause, because the games, such as Half-Life, Sin, support OpenGL. First I thought that the problem was in RAM, then I did`nt have no 3d card. I bought 64 of RAM, and none of the games jumped into Windows 95 any more. Before that, I had problems on AOE2, AOE, and so on. Well, I`ve bought Riva TNT2 M64, and none of the Direct3d games work properly. I can play the game for some time perfectly, my system specs are correct, but the game exits to Windows after some time. DX Diagnostic tool says that my nvdisp.drv is uncertified. I have downloaded bunch of drivers, none of them stops my problem. I have official Detonator 3 drivers from NVidia, I`ve tried some 7.17 drivers, still nothing. But OpenGL supported games work just fine. I know that my card supports Direct3d, but why does`nt Direct3d support my card? Where can I find certified drivers, what should I do? The problem is not in my RAM, I`ve replaced them and made any kind of tricks. Nothing, I am desperate. I do not want to use Software mode on games like FIFA 2000, NBA Live 2000, Roque Spear and so on. But games such GTA2 and Grand Prix 3 work just fine. I`d like to know what I have to do. Please, suggest something. At least. Everything may help me. Thank you! |
