| 8397 | 2001-02-06 21:43:00 | Ihug Ultra is so tempramental does any body else have this problem i had a sm 200 card installed in my compaq 7480 550 mhz 64 mb com worked for 30 mins then stopped receiving although it did not lock up sick of this i received a garnett card which is not as fancy but did the the job it worked well untill i got my hdd replaced with a different brand now no go still talking to ihug about this one to get it resolved any comments | Guest (0) | ||

The problem turned out to be overheating of the satelite card, which was happening because his computer was overclocked. The only way he could get it to run reliably was to open the case and point a fan at the card. In the end, he solved the problem by buying a second computer for use with Ihug, his download speeds are still a bit of a mixed bag though. It appears from the people I know of who have installed Ultra, that most get some problem, and Ihug's after-sales service bites. | Guest (0) | ||
