2001-02-06 03:51:00 I would just like to express my thoughts on the speed of the newly re designed Press F1 page. I like to help others if i have knowledge to share, but i just tried to get into three messages and had to give up due to the pathetic speed of the pages loading. I think F1 is an awesome idea, but please can we go back to the old design. At least then i could check to see if anyone has replied to my queries and to help others! Oh, and before anyone says its my dail up speed, im constantly at the same speed wih other pages etc and they load fine.

2001-02-06 22:23:00 You don't need to check to see if anyone has replied to your queries just set 'email notification' on the comment form to 'Yes' and you'll be informed via email of responses to your post. Emails are sent immediately after a new response is posted. Guest (0)
2001-02-07 01:59:00 Totally! I used to be all for PressF1, it was the place I could go to for help with anything, but out of my last three posts, only one of them ever got any kind of response! Even with the promise on the PressF1 Homepage that Juha Saarien will respond to every query. Whats going on here guys? Does no one help anyone anymore?? Guest (0)
2001-02-07 10:32:00 Press F1 is great, & I value the knowledge there. The new format is more convenient. But it's so slow. I have Ultra Satellite, which gets most url's in a flash. The PCWorld site is the slowest in the world. Waiting for the site to 'reply' takes almost a minute then page loads eventually. Rather frustrating when looking at the posts on F1. This is not a complaint, but a rather a request for a response from PCWorld or Juha regarding this problem. Guest (0)
2001-02-11 00:44:00 I would like to add my disapproval for the new format as well. I too have noticed it takes ages to go through the list due to the slow speed. The old format was much easier to read and use. Guest (0)
