| 8364 | 2001-02-05 21:20:00 | After upgrading to WinMe I decided to do a major Hardware upgrade from pentium 233 to PIII 800EB plus new AGP card 32meg and 256meg of Ram only to find that when shutting down the monitor would shut down but the Computer did not the only way I could was to turn off at the wall so have gone back to using Win98SE Why??? |

| 8365 | 2001-02-07 23:10:00 | I have had shutdown problems with win me from the get go, (athlon 750,nvidia geforce mx, 128 mb ram) at first i was told to upgrade the video driver but that didnt work. then i read that it may be a conflict with my USB port joystick (although no conflicts were showing) so i disabled all the other joystick refs-i had one on my sound card and i now only very rarely get a shutdown error, It always seems to happen after a graphics intesive session (ie 3D games) Hope this babble can help you. |
