| 8349 | 2001-02-05 00:39:00 | I had a registry meltdown which Regfix 'fixed' so Windows is back on the air. Unfortunately, when I connect to my ISPs, zfree and Xtra, my home page never materialises. In fact, no page materialises except that default DNS error page Win98 throws up in IE5. Netscape also misbehaves although it says something about not being able to fail over to some proxy or other due to a local something or other being locked. Prior to the registry corruption, both IE5 and Netscape worked fine on both ISPs. Also, connection to both is successful up to and including username and password recognition. So it appears to be something to do with the TCP/IP. What, however, I don't know. If anyone out there can shed some light on this problem, I'd sure appreciate it. Cheers, Andy |
