| 8342 | 2001-02-04 23:19:00 | I have installed 3c509 combo ISA NIC into a Dell 486. The computer can find itself but I get an orange LED when connected directly to the 3Com Office Interconnect hub. (It should be either green for 100Mbps or yellow for 10Mbps). Is the card auto sensing or does it have to be configured to use the RJ-45 port? There doesn't appear to be any files with the driver to do this. Or could it be something else? Any help/advice on this would be very much appreciated. |

If you want 100Mb signaling from an ISA card I suggest you get a 3c515 card from 3com. the Util to configure your card from dos is 3c5x9cfg.exe which can be downloaded from the 3com site. |
