| 8426 | 2001-02-07 03:59:00 | Hi I`m trying to access Wind. Update both from Tools/windows in IE5.5 as well as from the start button. When the Wind. Update page opens I get the message: 'Thank you for your interest in Windows Update. Your organization has decided to provide software updates internally rather than through Windows Update. To download updates for your Windows computer, please see your network administrator. I am using this computer at home as a personal, stand alone unit. Am running W98 (pre SE), Pentium 500,64mb ram, 6gb HD. There is obviously a setting needs changing. Can anyone tell me which one. Regards: Neil Bradnock. |

On using regedit to get into the registry I find that I do not have any of the complete keys listed. None of the final 'Items' in any of the 3 keys listed exist in the reg on my machine. Strange! I guess I`ll put up with it. Not something I use much and it can be got to in other ways. Cheers: Neil Bradnock |
