We have a Compaq 4020 computer. 64mg RAM. Monitor is a Compaq MV520.
The microphone is built in - ie there is a speaker in the top of the monitor. We have used it to make recordings to send files through ICQ and on occasion have spoken to relations in the US - through MSN Messenger. Recently when trying to again, it did not appear to work - the people on the other end could hear nothing. Thinking it was just a one off thing we tried again the next day and still it did not work. We then downloaded yahoo messenger and again no luck, we keep getting a 'voice error' message. We can hear the other party. We have tried the recording facility in ICQ and that works. Can anybody help us with this. Thanks in anticipation. |
